Service Description

I have over 20 years' experience as an expert witness and assessor providing independent, objective, and evidence-based opinions for legal and insurance purposes. Drawing on my clinical expertise as an Occupational Therapist with additional qualifications in the field of psychology, I assess the impact of injury, illness, or disability on an individual’s functional capacity, performance of daily activities, and participation across home, work, and community environments. My approach is thorough and impartial, incorporating detailed file review, structured interview, and a range of assessment approaches to ensure all opinions are well-founded and clearly articulated. Reports are tailored to the specific legal questions provided and address areas such as capacity, care and support needs, employability, and future requirements. I understand the importance of clarity, defensibility, and timeliness in this context, and produce high-quality reports that meet the standards expected by solicitors, insurers, and the courts. The process for arranging this service is as follows: 1. You complete the Booking Form and provide basic details of the assessment required. The standard booking length is 2 hours. This reserves time for the face to face component of the assessment to be completed, but does not reflect the entirety of the service duration 2. I will send through a quote, along with a secure link to upload the Letter of Instruction (LOI) and any additional files. Important Information: - Once the service is confirmed, I will send you a secure link where you can upload confidential information. I take all necessary steps to protect client data. Please do not send confidential information via email. - Please review my cancellation policy on this website and send through any queries you may have. - Please do not use the online booking form for appointments outside of Brisbane. I am happy to travel outside of Brisbane, however we will need to discuss the best time/ date to allow for me to plan this trip. - The hourly rate is charged for all time taken. This includes the assessment, reading of supplied materials, report writing and travel (time and expenses). - I will request that payment is made in advance where travel costs will be incurred (e.g. flights, car hire).
